The Village Tavern introduced to us their new line of burgers by using Wagyu beef patty and topped it with a variety of premium ingredients, all snuggled up between a freshly baked pretzel bun. This will be a heavy lunch, but we came prepared. When Village Tavern served all the burgers, we can't seem to decide which to try first. So opted to try first the Reuben Burger since it had a fried egg on top of it.
Reuben Burger (P595)
The Reuben Burger is topped with Gruyère cheese, homemade corned beef brisket, a pickled cabbage slaw and an egg done sunny-side up. This baby is a bit hard to bite into and can be messy because of the egg, but it's part of the experience.
Foie Gras Burger (P890)
The Foie Gras Wagyu burger is topped with Gruyère cheese, onions, and seared Foie Gras. I'm not a huge fan of Duck Liver, or cooked liver in general but I really enjoyed this burger, particularly the onion topping, which seems to be braised in red wine.
Tequila Burger (P650)
The Tequilla Burger is topped with cheddar cheese and jalapeños and a tequila mayonnaise underneath the thick, juicy patty. This is my favorite among the bunch. It's also served with chipotle mayo on the side for additional heat if the jalapeños is not enough for you.
Truffle Burger (P625)
The Truffle Burger does not skimp on the Shiitake mushroom and also topped with Asiago cheese. It's also complimented by a creamy truffle mayonnaise underneath the Wagyu patty.
